This is NOT Kundalini yoga! This will be a 2 -hour transmission of raw Kundalini life-force energy meant to activate and further the awakening process inside you. No prior experience of any sort is necessary. All you need is an openness to receive and the will to surrender.

WHAT IS KAP?
KAP stands for Kundalini Activation Process. This is NOT Kundalini yoga, but a direct energy transmission that activates the awakening of your Kundalini energy.

When Kundalini raw life force awakens within you and you feel it moving through your spine, you are on a path to uncover your truest, your most powerful and divine version of yourself. This energy burns up the stored blockages within your energy system, it leads you to transcendence and ushers in higher states of consciousness.

Once awakened, a profound rewiring of the brain structure and central nervous system begins to happen, and will continue with repeated exposure. This rewiring enables a deep emotional and spiritual healing that is so often unattainable via other methods. 

KAP ignites a natural process that won't shock your system in any way. This energy has an intelligence that will do exactly what your system needs in that moment of time. Unlike the self-generated practices such as kundalini yoga, tantra, qigong etc that are meant to awaken kundalini, this transmission is a path of surrender, not a path of the will. 

The KAP transmission is a specific and unique blend of what has traditionally been seen as separate schools, systems or lineages, and it's what makes KAP so intensely transformative & life changing. It’s also referred to as shaktipat. 

WHAT HAPPENS DURING A KAP SESSION?
You lie down on a mat and some music is played. At times the facilitators will touch or press some of the chakras or meridian points on your body and at other times they will simply hold or move their hands above you. That's what happens externally. Internally, a wide range of phenomenon can occur… from spontaneous movements, to emotional catharsis, lights and visuals or feelings of bliss. Some consider it a purifying experience or something that gives them deep insights or realizations, and release can happen physically, mentally, energetically and emotionally.

PREPARING FOR THE SESSION:

  • Please arrive a few minutes early to get settled.
  • Wear loose, comfortable clothing. Try to avoid metal zippers or snaps down your front.
  • Eat lightly if at all before the session. An empty stomach is best, but a light snack such as fruit is fine.
  • If you are a meat-eater, try to refrain from meat a few days ahead of time.
  • No coffee, alcohol or use of other substances before class.

Preparing for your Virtual Sound Meditation

Only your spirit needs to travel during a session! Since you don't have to drive home after, designing a newly dedicated zone (beds & blanket forts included) for experiencing these journeys at home is a beautiful thing.  

Tend the garden of your inner growth by creating a sacred space for our sound journeys.  When you devote a nook (or blanket fort) in your home to your sound healing sessions and sow it with your higher intentions, you create the right conditions to amplify frequency.  A dedicated space helps the mind “drop in” more quickly and deeply by collecting and focusing your energy on the present. 

Suggestions for Sessions

Find a comfortable place you can sit or lay down.  Cozy suggestions include favorite blankets, pillows, comfy clothes (or no clothes), candles, animal cuddles, good smells, crystals nearby? Bring them too!  Anything to further induce your state of ease.  (Even if you don’t need it at the start, you will be glad you have cozy things nearby in case your body calls for them throughout the journey).

Silence your phones, gadgets, imaginary friends (and children, or have them join too!)  If you share your home, give a heads up that your “do-not-distrub” sign is ACTIVE for the duration of the mediation.

Use headphones or a quality sound system.  The subtleties of frequency are best experienced this way.

Listen to what your body is telling you.  These meditations often induce a state of deep relaxation and you may fall asleep (and that’s good too! You are still receiving the sounds regardless). On the other hand, if you’re overcome with the fidgets, change position or grab that comfy thing, move something, do it! Listen to your body.

Come as you are. Each experience just as every breath is unique. Give yourself permission to be still now.  If thoughts and emotions arise let them come, breathe 3 deep breaths & let them flow through. Be gentle with yourself. In a sound healing session, you don’t need to “do” anything; sound can induce states of relaxation without effort, causing the body to relax and release on its own as the frequencies do their thang. 

Drinks lots of water (make it a coconut water if you really want to access those Bali island vibes) and ground yourself. Deep breaths, slow motion stretches,  incense, a cup of tea, a bubble bath, or journaling are a few favorites.
