Equinox
An Equinox is one of two days in the year when the Sun crosses the celestial equator, meaning that both halves of the Earth are receiving the Sun’s rays equally, and so day and night, light and dark, are of equal length. It signifies a time of Balance and Equilibrium and as such has been revered to and celebrated in many traditions around the Globe.
Depending on what Hemisphere you’re in, and the time of year, the Equinox marks the entrance into either Spring or Autumn. In Bali, the March Equinox marks the entrance into Autumn.
